Spooky happenings in London this October!

Who else is a huge fan of October? Autumnal days have begun, crisp leaves have started to fall on the ground, and Halloween is just around the corner! 

 

 

We've put together a variety of different things that are going on here in London this Halloween. Whether you're looking for fun activities to do with the kids, a night out with your friends, or a Unique and spooky event, we've found something for you... and if you're not into Halloween, I'm sure you'll appreciate a fabulous firework display, and we've got some of those ready for you, too! 

 

THINGS TO DO

 

1. The Crystal Maze - Halloween Edition 

 

"You’ll have to have your wits about you if you step into the Crystal Maze this Halloween as you’ll have a time vampire called The Blood Baron hot on your heels. According to those in the know, he’s a master of manipulation and has been known to trick contestants into betraying fellow team mates, so be prepared to leave spooked and friendless." - TimeOut London

2. Hogwarts After Dark: Warner Bros Studio Tour London

 

If you're a Potter super-fan then what better way to spend Halloween than at Hogwarts?! Enjoy smokey ice-dry cocktails and indulge in a Halloween Feast in the Great Hall. 

 

When? 26th - 28th October at 7pm. 

Where? Studio Tour Drive, Leavesden, London, WD25 7LR.

Transportation: Rail: Watford Junction rail then shuttle bus, free parking for ticketholders.

3. Pumpkin Decorating Workshop

 

It's time to show off your artistic (or not-so) skills! Carve your own pumpkin and take it home with you to show off to all of the trick or treaters, and monsters.

4. Hansel and Gretel Halloween Storytelling 

 

The Sandal Stick Theatre company will be putting on a  playful puppet rendition of the Brothers Grimm classic Hansel and Gretel, perfect for the kids or for fairytale lovers of any age! It's recommended to book this in advance and you can do so here. 

 

When? 27th and 28th October from 11am - 7pm. 

Where? Horniman Museum.

5. Halloween at the Rivoli Ballroom 

 

 

Don't miss out on this pop up cinema at the Rivoli Ballroom  – one of the last remaining ballrooms that still exists in London! This pop up film fest will provide you with plenty of popcorn, ice cream, hot dogs and wine, draft ale, beer and cider. Yum!

 

When? 23rd October onwards.

GHOST HUNTS & GHOST TOURS

 

1. Ghost Tours at Hampton Court Palace

2. Twilight Tours at the Tower of London

 

 

This is an after-hours tour led by a Yeoman Warder, and it follows the stories of some of the Tower's infamous residents whilst offering an atmospheric experience of the building's main points of interest. The tour does not include entry to the Jewel House or White Tower and takes place outdoors.

 

Booking for this is essential! 

 

When? 18th November onwards.

HALLOWEEN PARTIES

 

1. Ministry of Sound Halloween Rave

 

2,000 costumed-up clubbers, 10 DJs, and four rooms. This is a massive Halloween bash taking place at Ministry of Sound which will be playing everything from house to disco, and grime to R&B. "They're promising 'bleeding LED walls' and 'synchronised murder visuals', but also warning to 'expect the unexpected'". 

 

When? 31st October.
