As you all know, we are based in London, and despite having partnerships all around the world, we absolutely love London and have so many things to offer our clients including discounted hotels (along with VIP perks!) as well as spa packages, and discounts to a huge variety of bars and restaurants in and around the capital.
Tom’s Kitchen is a personal favourite of the team at U&I Lifestyle, with their incredible culinary expertise and intimate venue in the heart of Chelsea. Any of our members get a free glass of bubbles on arrival when booking through us. If you fancy something a bit more exotic, we also love Kouzu. Hands down, they whip up the best sushi in London. We are privileged to work with them and we have hosted a number of events at their beautiful venue in Belgravia. All of our guests loved the food and atmosphere and our clients get a massive 25% off the a la carte menu when making a reservation through us!
If you are looking for a luxurious place to stay for a few nights in London we would have to recommend The Dorchester where we can provide great discounted rates and a complimentary champagne at one of their signature restaurants! Trust us when we say you will not have a more luxurious quintessentially British experience when booking your stay at The Dorchester. It really is an absolute gem right in the heart of London close to all the major sights.
If you are already Londoner and want something cool to experience there are sooo many things to get up to in London. For a really intimate and private dining experience we have to recommend the igloos at Coppa Club by Tower Bridge. These self contained mini glass house pods provide the most spectacular view of the Thames all whilst experiencing delicious food and drinks on plush cosy furniture. You really won’t want to leave! It is a must do if you want to experience something truly Unique on your next day out in London.
Of course there are all the normal touristy things to do in London and we’ve put together a summary of we think everyone should experience. We recommend walking around our beautiful city as everything is sooo accessible, but if you get lost you can always hop on a bus or tube as you’ll never be too far away.
We are basing the following if you choose to stay at the Dorchester, which is on Park Lane, right on the doorstep of Hyde Park.
8am: Get a nice hearty breakfast at the hotel, or we can highly recommend Café Concerto or Richoux which are just a short walk from The Dorchester hotel on the Piccadilly Road - (U&I Lifestyle love food and it is often known that we skip brekkie and go all out on brunch at some of our preferred local hangouts!)
9am: Take a walk through Hyde Park and just take in the calm relaxing natural beauty of one of Londons most beautiful gardens. It’s great to be active in the morning which will boost your metabolism for the day and give you energy and a refreshed feeling throughout the day!
10.30am: Head in the direction of Buckingham Palace, which is only a short walk from Hyde Park Corner, and aim to get there for 11am so you can see the changing of the guards. Be sure to check if the flag is up so you know whether or not the queen is in!
11.30am: Head in the direction towards Victoria. There are so many places to visit, but like we previously mentioned we would recommend that you pop into Kouzu for a light lunch and take in all the action around Victoria. From there if you are planning to visit other places in the UK, the National Express coach services can take you to pretty much any major city in the UK for very competitive prices!
1pm: We suggest you now head East, and check out Westminster where you will be able to gawk at the beauty of Westminster Abbey, check out the houses of Parliament and see Big Ben. If you continue walking by the riverside you will reach The London Eye and pass many of our iconic bridges, including Waterloo Bridge, which is where we suggest you cross to reach The Strand.
3pm: You will be near Trafalgar Square at this point which is very historic and the National Portrait Gallery stands just behind the large water feature. We have absolutely loads of museums and galleries in London, so if you are interested in something in particular just get in touch and we can help you out by customising a personal itinerary for the duration of your stay! We suggest walking up Covent Garden where you can watch some terrific street shows and visit the market there which has some really interesting souvenirs to take back for your friends and family back home.
4pm: Walk in the direction of Leicester Square - you will definitely know when you are there as there will be a multitude of tourists surrounding you! You can always grab a snack somewhere nearby as (if you’re anything like us) you’ll be feeling a bit peckish at this point! There are heaps of little cafes and bars on your route and you really are spoilt for choice when it comes to decide where to go! From there you can check out Piccadilly (The Times Square of London!) We then suggest you walk up Shaftesbury Avenue which is our theatre district and if you do have time we highly suggest you see a play or musical. Our West-End shows are spectacular and you will not be disappointed!
6pm: If you continue walking up towards Tottenham Court Road you will reach Oxford Street and you will now be in London’s best shopping region and we have hundreds of designer stores all in one place! YAY! We literally have everything around Oxford Street and you can’t come to London without visiting! Shops are usually open until around 10pm, and we suggest going in the evening as it’s a (little) bit quieter, so you won’t have to wait in such long shopping queues.
8pm: Walk in the direction of Marble Arch. You’ll know when you are there as you’ll be able to see Hyde Park again! That’s right, you’ve literally just just done an entire 360 around London and seen some of our infamous signts along the way. Wal
