Well... can you believe Summer is over?! I swear it was only May about 5 minutes ago. Time certainly flies when you're a bunch of busy bees, like we definitely have been here at U&I Lifestyle!
We've had a very busy few months. From getaways in Fuerteventura, to Wedding's in Toronto and Concierge meetings in Marbella, we have been lucky enough to visit some fabulous places over the Summer. Thanks to U&I Concierge, we've been able to get our hands on some incredible deals and VIP experiences on all of our trips, and we thought we would share some of the fun with you!
Let's start from the very beginning, it's a very good place to start...
Back in June, we took a little trip to one of the Canary Islands, Fuerteventura.
We stayed at a beautiful villa, about a 25 minute drive from the airport. The villa had 3 en-suite bedrooms, a spacious, open-plan kitchen/diner/living-room, a private pool, and our personal favourite... a rooftop area which had a jacuzzi and BBQ.
Branding everywhere, obvs!
Sorry about the building work in the background... oops!
On our first night, we took a short taxi ride into the town centre, where we had a few cocktails and then had a little wander around, to try and find somewhere delicious for dinner. There were a few very cute little restaurants right by the sea, so naturally, we chose one of these! Who doesn't love eating whilst taking in sea-views?!
Despite the weather not being QUITE as amazing as we had hoped (it was rather cloudy for the majority of the week!), we had a lovely time away, and we're sure we will be returning to the island in the future.
Next up, was Italy! Some very close friends of ours invited us to stay with them at their beautiful home for a long weekend in August. We flew into Catania, Sicily, and the villa was a short drive away from the airport. Words cannot describe how stunning our accommodation was, but here's a few pics for you to get a little idea...
The villa has it's own chicken coupe for fresh eggs every morning, and a vegetable patch to grow their own healthy ingredients. Amazing!
The food in Sicily was SO GOOD! We certainly didn't go hungry!!
Even though we were only in Sicily for a few days, we managed to get lots of cultural and exciting activities in (as well as making sure we had some solid hours of sunbathing, too, of course!).
We visited some delicious restaurants, and visited Taormina, the mountaintop town overlooking the Ionian coast is Sicily's most famous resort, full of restaurants and shops...
The highlight of the trip was definitely trekking up Mount Etna, which is Europe's largest active volcano. It was absolutely incredible...
